Recommend or Not

Priest (2011)

Priest is not a very good film. I’m not even sure why I sat down and actually watched it, maybe I was just too lazy to move and change the channel, maybe the terribleness of it hypnotised me into seeing it through; who knows. I don’t.

The film has some interesting ideas about vampires, that they’re completely beast like rather than remotely human, and I kinda liked that, but the poor writing/acting/action sequences/special effects saw clear that the film would be a mess. It tries to be a sci-fi western horror with vampires, heavy on the action, but ends up a mish-mash of tired clichés and tropes. I could only recommend this piece of shit if you and a bunch of friends wanted to sit around and purposefully watch a piss poor movie and make fun of it.

Definitely Not Recommended.
